Temp/Freelance Desk

This role is to launch a new desk specialising in the growing temp market. The current team is 5 strong and has plans to grow to 10. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a technical or high street market running a temp desk. The sector is very fast moving and vacancy rich and MRG are market leaders. The clients and candidates (because they work in marketing/work winning/BD) are engaging and MRG have a strong brand. Competition compared to the generalist/finance markets is light and clients and candidates need specialist recruitment help. Average margins are high and the average timesheet margin is £1200 per month.

 

Principal Consultant

FM and Public Sector Estates Temps

Twickenham

This role forms part of our most successful team at MRG. The brief is to inherit an existing desk working with the Associate Director to extend our coverage in Higher Education and then develop new markets in Further Education, Schools etc..

The current (perm) team (6) is very successful and are market leaders in Higher Education FM and Estates recruitment. They have a very strong contact base and good reputation. The ideal candidate will have experience in the freelance market, possibly in the generalist or finance markets and be seeking a move to a more specialist field. Average margins are high and average timesheet margin is £1300 per month. Average length of a Freelance/temp assignment is 8 months.

We are moving our model to an emphasis on exclusive or relationship led recruitment, working with a small number of select clients in each of our specialisms. 

The Resource Manager will support a Managing Consultant in all aspects of the recruitment process on Key Accounts, delivering both Search and Permanent Recruitment services to hiring managers as per contracted terms.

Key AccountResource Manager

Brief:

We are on a longterm strategy to moveour business away from the highly congested recruitmentagency / internal recruitment market; and to strengthen our position as amanagement recruiter. We are moving our model to an emphasis on retained,exclusive or relationship led recruitment, working with a small number ofselect clients in each of our specialisms. 

In 2017 we expectto sign at least three exclusive annual contracts that include both Search andPermanent Recruitment services. These Key Accounts will be serviced by aManaging Consultant, with a Board level sponsor and a Key Account ResourceManager.

Supporting aManaging Consultant in all aspects of the recruitment process on a Key Account.Delivering both Search and Permanent Recruitment services to hiring managers asper contracted terms. Working with the Managing Consultant to generate inexcess of £250k of NFI from the selected client list.  

Job Description:

 

Advertising /Marketing           Designing and writingfirst class advertising and placing adverts both on and off-line. Creatingfirst class client and assignment marketing to showcase the assignment andpromote the employer brand.

 

Search                                 Generating new candidates through Search calls to targetcandidates identified via Bullhorn, LinkedIn, Desk-top Research, ABI andCompany-mapping.

 

Screening                             Taking first level responses and showcasing assignments.Undertaking screen interviews by phone and attending candidate interviews withthe Managing Consultant and /or Business Sector Director.

 

Selection                              Preparing job descriptions and writing comprehensive interviewnotes and arranging client/ candidate interview schedules.

 

Networking                            Creating a client specific candidate community. Writing pressreleases, news, articles and blogs to distribute to your community to generatecurrent and future applications.

 

Support / EA Duties               Managing and organisingcalendars, arranging and scheduling in meetings; and proactively managingOutlook on behalf of self and Business Sector Director. Additionally, theability to contribute to extensive market intelligence reports, includingtarget lists, structures and overall insight into the wider industry.             

Career Plan:

Twelve monthimmersion programme giving a full grounding in management recruitment andSearch. Training will be a combination of classroom and technical training,delivered by the experienced recruiters and external specialists, and on thejob training learning from real life experience.

Second year targetsfor promotion to Key Account Manager or Associate Director.
