We are supporting one the of the UK’s premier Constriction and Engineering organisations. The company have delivered a number of iconic Construction and Engineering projects across the world and are renowned for delivery of quality work, on time – and to budget. The company employ over 2,100 employees across the breadth of the UK – and its parent organisation turns over in excess of €4 billion.

Due to continued growth, the organisation is actively seeking a Sub Agent to support one of their complex Bedfordshire projects. Experience of the Civils sector, particularly 'highways' is essential - and the ability to apply this existing knowledge seamlessly will be required. The ideal candidate for this position will be a seasoned Agent, familiar with all aspects of design, procurement and delivery of a process engineering project.

  • Attend meetings with Client either with PM or on behalf of PM;
  • Produce or check works risk assessments / method statements;
  • Produce short term / weekly programmes to deliver the Contract programme;
  • Explanation of works preparations to the project management/supervision team.
  • Deal with requests for further information from suppliers/ sub-contractors;
  • Define areas of responsibility for Engineers;
  • Ensure flow of information to construction teams;
  • Coordinate sub contractors' programmes and organisation of attendances;
  • Issue of instructions to sub-contractors in accordance with project authority protocols;
  • Implement change order management;
  • Receive and authorise record sheets from suppliers/sub-contractors;
  • Prepare and submit record sheets;
  • Maintain a daily record of progress, activities, changes and events;
  • Reconciliation of materials usage;
  • Ensure high standards of work production/instigate robust checking procedures;
  • Deliver own works and sub contractors' works in compliance with Contract requirements;
  • Deliver records and documents required by the Contract;
  • Formulate environmental protection measures;
  • Ensure compliance with environmental requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree / HND Qualified;
  • CSCS Card;
  • Knowledge of NEC3 Contracts;
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a similar position safely on a Civil Engineering site on Major Structures, Rail or Roadworks;
  • Understand the concept/s of Managing Continuous Change;
  • Demonstrate a relentless pursuit of standards, best practice and continuous improvement in all aspects of work to positively impact safety, value, results and performance.
